More than four months after the House voted to reverse the closing of more than 2,000 auto dealerships, time is running short to get a deal done this year.
GM and Chrysler and many members of Congress want a "non-legislative fix." The Obama administration also opposes efforts to reverse the dealer closings. One proposal is to have some arbitration process for an unspecified number of the closing dealers
