you will need a wood choker like in the older day for the steam driven trains. Hope no one get in a accident with that play load.

This seems like still another viable alternative source. Like Tigerpaw said, so long as it doesn't pollute or deplete other energy supplies. I wouldn't want to see the continuation of coal or tearing down of forests for supply use. Its always amazing how many fuel sources already exist in past incarnations like this and steam, tractors and trucks running on used oil, etc etc. We can free ourselves from Big Oil. BTW, the article here was unavailable so I did some research. It looked like most of the power plants that utilize this are not government or corporate funded but from private investors. If the right people take the helm and support something like this the government and corporations would have no choice but to support it.

We need to utilise all available types of energy, including Gas & coal, that are efficient & recycle if they don't pollute worst than gas & coal.

And what comes out of the tail pipe? Water.....
Conservation is the best thing we can do. We still need to implement a fast track to alternative fuels and energy to be come energy independent from foreign support, big oil companies and local utilities monopoly.

And some people were using horse and buggies during WWII. We had a guy who used to drive up and down the hills in SF with his horse and buggy yelling "Junk, Hey Junk - I will buy your Junk", His horse was so old it looked like it was going to expire at the top of the hill but it just plodded on.

Amtrgas, 1800's is before NEW... CPR54, we will have LESS wood after the EPA takes over the regulation of CO2 (trees breath this stuff and give us O2 as they exhale) if the "Pignose" Waxman- "Socialist" Markey bill that got shoved down our throats Friday before last in the House gets through the Senate. Deep DoDo days are looming!
