Aloha tckayaker! Good morning! Thanks for the shout out! Love your avatar! My avatar is a seafaring bird called noio. It nests on land but spends most of its life on the ocean. The feet are webbed and the long beak easily picks small fish and shrimp from the surface. When feeding out in the open ocean they gather in huge numbers and look like clouds on the horizon making it easier for fishermen to find fish. I was one of those fishermen for a few decades and had to take a photo of the noio perched on a rock. The noio allowed me to get within 15 ft. Each island is unique and offers spectacular views and interesting sights and activities. 85% of our resident population live on the island of Oahu. The neighboring islands are more rural and laid back. I live on Maui, the second most populated and second largest Hawaiian Island. I have more photos on Flickr. Sure, I'll be buddies. The consecutive days string will come to an end in late June when I go to China for a long time, but it has been fun keeping it up these last 3+ years.
