EIA: Quiet week, crude and gasoline inventories little changed

GasBuddy Blog -- The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the status of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories increased by 0.6 million barrels to a total of 372.2 million barrels. At 372.2 million barrels, inventories are 33.2 million barrels above last year (9.8%) and are above the upper limit of the average range.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories decreased by 0.8 million barrels to 233.2 million barrels. At 233.2 million barrels, inventories are up 1.1 million barrels, or 0.5% higher than last year. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East Coast (+1.7mb); Midwest...

Quiet week for Inventories But not at pumps. Prices spiked as much as 60 Cents in Lexington area.

Inventories are higher than last year, and so are gasoline & diesel prices. Gas is $3.90, and diesel is $4.19. Go figure!

Oil inventories are up. Gasoline inventories ahre higher than last year ... sounds like the perfect time to raise prices more and more!
