Even if some of you feel it is off topic, we are still at liberty to post relevant topics on Gas Buddy and I feel this is relevant to all. Whether you are man or woman this is a great news article that I thought should be shared with my fellow Americans. This is a Canadian viewpoint. Enjoy and Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to all.

Yeah, off topic. Although I agree with much of the sentiment toward our blamer in chief.

Tough decisions? Yeah.. right. Obama couldn't care less about these next 4 years, except to run up a deficit well over 22 trillion, get more sheeple reliant on food stamps and government, and finally remove our rights with more government takeover and regulations.
You better hurry and buy a gun before he tramples on the 2nd amendment.

If only the house and Senate could due their jobs and do what is best for America. The president gets too much blame and not enough credit.

This goes for both Republicans and Democrats.

Obama wanted the job and said he representated a change for the better - still haven't found anything better since he first took office 4 years ago. Suspect that the job he does in the upcoming four years will be another letdown and a vacuuming out of my wallet.

And this has what to do with any relevancy at GasBuddy?
And what the heck have you been smoking, highdesertman. The "clear majority" of American voters is anything but. You, like Obama, fail to understand that the country is meant to be governed for ALL the people; instead, you look at a slim re-election victory (no different than Bush's re-election in 2004) as some sort of mandate to squelch debate and crush any and all opposition.
Get a life!

Has the man accomplished anything that he promised to do when he first ran for President?
What has happened to gas prices since he took office?
According to a September 2012 article http://cnsnews.com/news/article/gasoline-prices-more-double-under-obama-184-385 "The average gasoline price is calculated by the Energy Information Agency, and shows that over the past 43 months of President Obama’s term retail gasoline prices have more than doubled, rising from an average of $1.84 per gallon to $3.85 per gallon."
According to Wikipedia, Obama was inaugurated on January 20, 2009: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_inauguration_of_Barack_Obama
We double-checked gas prices.
According to the Excel spreadsheet (full history) linked from http://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/ on the spreadsheet tabbed "Data 3: Regular All Areas All Formulations", the price of gas in dollars per gallon on January 19, 2009 was $1.847.
On September 10, 2012, four days before that article was written, the price of gas was $3.847 (rounded to $3.85). Of course, the average price per gallon has come down a bit since, but as of December 24, 2012, the price was still $3.257 per gallon -- not quite twice, but still a significant increase.
Some say that the factors in the rise of gas prices are not Obama's alone and they are correct. Study the costs for yourself using the links above.

It's comforting to know that all the Obama-bashing commenters on here are still a minority in this country and that the clear majority of American voters are still capable of applying thought, reason, and common sense when they enter the voting booth.

Interesting to note the Republicans and "W" are still getting blamed for everything bad even after they have been gone for four years. No one seems to remember the financial and auto bail out were in the works before the election in '08. They did make plenty of mistakes and they sure paid for it last November. Even the new world order was first prominently mentioned under the administration of George "H.W.". Since then it has just been progressing like most progressives envisioned, through "H.W." Bill, "W" and now our present president. Just sayin the difference is not as much as some would like.

Obama never would have won if it weren't for the masses afraid of losing their "Obama Phone" and other hand outs. It truly was a vote of the "takers vs. the makers".

MOst of the time bad guys shoot themelves when they they are confronted by armed people. When they are not confronted by armed police etc. they keep shooting. Gun control should be a steady aim when you shoot at the idiots that are killing innocent people. The psychologist and the school principal would be alive today if they had weapons or someone in the vicinity would have had a gun. Taking guns off the street only takes it away from the law abiding person. Criminals do not turn in their guns because of a law. We are not going to export immigrants because they vote Democratic. We wont really stop spending because that is how we buy votes. Promise them anything and tell them the next guy will pay.

in england and europe in general, the public has very limited access to guns, so only criminals, peace officers, farmers, etc have access. this highly regulated environment sees far less mayhem through gun use than elsewher, namely the united states of america!

Instead he digs his feet in on taxing the rich, just like he dug his feet in on Obamacare during his first term. More of the same - just what the voters wanted. What a joke.
