Gas Price's New Year's Resolution: Stability

CSP Daily News -- WASHINGTON -- Following last year's volatility, 2013 has started with relative price stability at the pump, according to AAA's Jan. 22 Fuel Gauge Report. In the first 22 days of the year, the national average has yet to record a daily price change of a penny or more per gallon. By comparison, daily prices in December changed by at least that much 15 times.

Tuesdays and Thursday gas prices rising. After they have already done it to you in between is stable until next time when it rises again.

This morning gas was at $3.08 a gallon here in Akron, Ohio. Current price is at $3.45!

Thought the chart in this article was interesting. AAA put average American gasoline consumption at 1.140 gallons annually, or 22 gallons per week. I'd love to see GasBuddy ask in the Sunday poll, "How many gallons, per week, does the average GasBuddy member buy?". Personally, triple A has us pegged. We try to stay at 10 gallons of gas for the car, 10 gals of diesel for the truck, per week. How do they know? Spooky.

They made a profit when gas was sold at $0.25 a gallon. Gas is to high.

Stable would be nice, but recently the trend around here is when the price gets close to $3/gal then the refineries jack up the price 15-25 cents and then down it comes again very slowly.
