::::How appropriate that investing in shale gas & fracking is discussed in a publication entitled the "Fool."::: There is a legitimate historical reason that the Motley Fool has its name. The name is quite appropriate and the Fool organization proudly trumps up its name as a badge of honor. Try researching it a little bit. In this context, to be 'Foolish' is to be extremely wise, savvy and to have your finger on the pulse.

As the acceptance of Shale Gas increases, let us watch and insist that the Environmental concerns are positively addressed and the projects comply with legitimate regulations at all times! DO NOT LET IT FUNCTION AS THE OLD DAY COAL COMPANIES; BOTH UNDERGROUND AND STRIPPING OPERATIONS! We do not want to see nature damaged by greed. Remember the lovely streams and lakes that were turned BLACK from underground mine water being pumped into streams thereby killing fish and wild life for the sake of coal. Be careful with how this new venture treats Mother Nature. If they comply - welcome them, if not, shut them down!

The risk is it seems to ruin the well water of people in the vicinity of the fracking.

There is a need to tread lightly as the growing exploitation of the shale formations continues.

Fracking could be a lifesaver or a killer. We need to focus on the safety aspects and on doing it right.

It would be nice to sort out the eco-terrorists , the oil company shills and the true science and be able to tell who is telling the truth.

If they keep the environmental concerns in the headlines, other startups will be less inclined to try to compete - leaving the margins higher.

The liberal environmental activists are hipocrits anyway. Most are probably driving big SUVs, living in large homes with big carbon footprints and flying in private jets from their foundations...so blow them off and do what's right for the country...MORE FRACKING!!

If it's in the ground... without "fracking"... it's still a danger... It's all going to leak out sooner or later.
