Wackiest motor vehicle laws of 2013

TrueCar -- It's fun to search for the wacky driving laws that that are imposed upon American drivers, though so many of them seem so common sense, it makes us wonder why they were ever introduced into legislation in the first place. We get it: It's certainly not safe to jump from cars at speeds faster than 65 mph or to wear a blindfold when driving -- but these actions are actually illegal in California and Alabama, respectively. That seems obvious enough, wonder why it needs a law to enforce it?

But they need to pass something to justify themselves or be able to say the "did something" --BUT we legislate EVERYTHING, and we do not need to and shouldn't, but that is the USA we are becoming. Yes it wastes money, creates more bureaucracy too... Then trying to enforce them, then we OFTEN punish the law abiding majority due to the bad behavior or discipline of the few or isolated incidents that get alot of attention...

It's still illegal to shoot rabbits from a moving streetcar on Hollywood Blvd. Of course they stopped running streetcars on Hollywood Blvd. over 50-years ago. And wild rabbits were last seen in that vicinity more than 50 years before that; but the law is still in the penal code.

Even cities in a state can have individual laws that differ from city to city, such as transporting a gun in your vehicle. It's mind boggling!! We become more divided in this country as time goes by.
