This should not have happened. It should stand on its own merits and not be funded by people's taxes.

Why is it good to prop up an industry that otherwise wouldn't survive? Even with the tax credits, it costs more to generate electricity with wind turbines than other means. Another example of industrial Obamacare.

It is not surprising that wind energy would continue to be subsidized by this administration and congress.

That's great if you are into wind energy, or own a home & are thinking about it. What is going to hurt the middle class & lower income wage earner is the payroll tax increase (taking less $$'s home), & keeping gas prices low to stimulate the ecomony and increasing the job market.

If this is such a great idea, why does the government have to subsidize it? Private investors should be beating down the door to participate in such a noble cause. Its because they fail, breakdown, dont generate enough power to help in most situations and destroy the beauty of the land. Eye pollution and dead birds! Wheres the greenie weenies on this one?

I look at that tax-credit as positive incentive to develop a wind project. It can potentially help us move a little quicker toward energy independence.
